Meet Lorelai Migliore, the 2026 recipient of the Caleb Sabados Memorial Scholarship — Little Home Builder’s $2,500 award for Colorado trades students.
We are excited to announce that Lorelai Denise Migliore is the recipient of our 2nd Annual Caleb Sabados Memorial Scholarship!
Lorelai is a student at WyoTech, where she is studying Collision/Restoration and Street Rod & Custom Fabrication. Her goal is to become a skilled custom automotive painter and restoration technician — creating high-quality finishes and bringing classic cars back to life in a professional custom or restoration shop.
From the moment we watched her video essay, our team was struck by Lorelai’s positivity and resilience. Lorelai shared with us that she is legally deaf, and she is pursuing a demanding, hands-on career with determination and a great attitude. That kind of grit is exactly what this scholarship was created to celebrate.
We also love supporting women in non-traditional fields. As a woman and family owned construction business, we know firsthand how much it matters to see women thrive in the trades — and we can’t wait to see Lorelai make her mark in the custom and restoration world.
Carrying Caleb’s Legacy Forward
The Caleb Sabados Memorial Scholarship honors Caleb, a Frederick High School graduate and apprentice electrician who loved working with his hands. Caleb passed away on Memorial Day 2024 at just 20 years old. His motto was simple: “Go big or go home.”
This scholarship exists to invest in the next generation of Colorado tradespeople — people who are excited about the skilled trades and committed to carrying these professions forward. Lorelai’s passion for craftsmanship and her drive to succeed in the face of challenges reflect the same spirit Caleb brought to everything he did.
Congratulations, Lorelai! We are so proud to support you on your journey, and we can’t wait to see the beautiful work you create.
